I was so nervous and ready to be up all night teaching her that she has to stay in her bed when it nighttime but she understood what was going on for the most part. It was once the lights went out that she cried a little but after about half an hour there was silence in her room. I'm glad that we were out all day so that she was tired.
Andreas and I snuck in her room at about midnight and took some pictures. The first time you see your little girl in her own big bed, it melts your heart. I love those firsts of everything. She is so cute and I cant believe it worked. Actually I can, I pretty much have an angel for a child. (Haha, somedays I would say this statement is completely false...)
So, It's been about a week with the new bed and the only problem I am having is nap time during the day. I have to put her down later now (when she is really tired) or she will just play with random things in her room. For instance, a couple days ago I went in to find her in a mound of PJ's that she had pulled out of her drawers, a couple shirts over her head and one cowboy boot on, with a huge smile on her face. That day she had no nap. All in all it's been a pretty good experience. Yay to the new bed!

Congrats on the big girl bed! I hope the nap time thing smooths out for you. I guess we were lucky in that department. When we switched Siera we didn't have any problems. Every now and again if we don't go in and get her when she wakes up she comes and wakes us up, but its all good. :)
Thats sweet...I feel like you just had her and now she's already in a real bed!! And BTW I seriously love your hair...is it all short or do you just have it up in the back so I can't see it?
thanks buddy. Its long in the back. I just get lazy and put it up.
OMG... How cute she is. I could just picture her with that big grin! Proud grandpa!
